A Karo casino chair is available with 3 types of bases, namely DISC (or flute), 4-LEGGED and 5-STAR. Which is best? With so many options on sale, choosing the type of base of your poker machines is a question of application, cost, practicality and aesthetics.
Disc bases have long been popular among gaming machine operators, but more recently, stools on 4-Legs have become fashionable. What are the other options and which is best? The answer is not as straight forward as it seems.
Where are the gaming stools going to be used?
The first criteria is to decide where the stools will be used and understanding the buying process for casino chairs.
Casino chairs with bases that are easy to manoeuver and have a big comfortable seat and supportive backrest, will usually be ‘winners’ in front of any slot machines.
Table games like blackjack and roulette, usually require different types of chairs. These games are more social with constant interactions between players that crowd around the table. With limited space, chairs for casino table games usually have a smaller footprint and 4-Legged bases are the preferred option.

2. The 4-Legged Base
Our 4-legged casino chair base is not made from steel or aluminium tubing. The legs are manufactured from laser-cut steel sheet and folded to create a unique leg profile. The four legs are then welded to the top support plate where the swivel mechanism is attached. Available in a variety of powdercoated colours, the resulting structure is extremely stable, aesthetically pleasing, and exceptionally strong.

Casino chair bases – The Revive option from Karo
If you already have gaming machine stools with bases that are not living up to your expectations, we offer a Revive option. With our modular design concept, it may be possible to replace only your existing slot machine stool bases with a more suitable option. This means that you keep your existing stool seat and backrest and only replace the base. The cost of the Revive option is therefore significantly less than a completely new stool.
Conclusion
We manufacture casino chairs with 3 main categories of bases. Choosing the type of bases of your slot machine and table gaming stools is a question of application, cost, practicality and aesthetics.
